The windsurfing club "Glide" is a place where sport, architecture, and nature come together in a unique way. Drawing inspiration from the organic forms found in the marine world — barnacles, shells, and other creatures of the deep — the building’s design reflects a fluid, sculptural character. The structure appears to hover above the sand, much like a board gliding over water, symbolizing the feeling of pure freedom and connection with the sea.

The facility comprises a range of spaces designed to serve both the community of windsurfers and the general public. Inside, there are changing rooms, a gym, a lounge, a sushi bar, a storage area, and technical spaces for equipment maintenance — all carefully integrated into a coherent architectural form. The main concept emphasizes functionality, accessibility, and a strong dialogue with its coastal setting. Large windows enable generous views of the water, while sheltered decks provide refuge from the elements, extending the experience from inside to outside.

The structure is a lightweight steel frame composed of trusses with diagonal members, vertical posts, and upper and lower chords, designed to efficiently carry both vertical and horizontal loads. The framework forms a resilient exoskeleton — much like the shells of marine creatures — allowing for greater stability while retaining an elegant and delicate appearance. Steel profiles of different sizes are used to account for varying stress conditions across the structure. The building is raised above ground on piles, reducing its footprint and minimizing interference with the natural landscape. All materials and technical solutions have been selected to provide durability, resistance to corrosion, and low maintenance in a coastal environment, ensuring a long service life and a sustainable design.
