The Nova Square project demonstrates an obvious and strong architectural expression that successfully merges innovative form with functionality. It seems that the notion of transforming an initial rectangular form into an interesting curved shape is carefully and consistently explored throughout the proposal in terms of its form, layout, and spatial distribution. The notion of façade not only ensures the development of an interesting visual identity but also implements Daylight Control for improved interior comfort. There seems to be strong intent with regards to construction and architectural intent, ensuring the consideration of the initial structural and constructional elements for the solution.
One might consider a further emphasis on understanding the ground-level public interface. Although its overall character and façade expression are very good, its relationship to pedestrian experience could be more engaging and helpful in building an understanding of its ground-level relationship with pedestrians, rather than simply its object-like architectural presence. Thus, it is again clear that Nova Square is an active destination and not strictly an object-like architectural presence in space.
